Over $14,000 Given To Clay YMCA Christmas Basket Fund

CLAY COUNTY, Ind – On Wednesday the Clay County YMCA received two large gifts that will help to feed many this holiday season.

Rick Burger of Duke Energy presented a $10,000 donation. He said that they also have over 100 employees that volunteer to help.

Burger said that they money doesn’t come from customer bills but form shareholders.

Jennifer Isbell-Scott of Center-Point Energy contributed $4,500 to the food drive.  She said that its important to them to give to the communities they serve.

Nicole Fry Executive Branch Director of the Clay County YMCA said that there is still a $22,000 gap in what they need to take of those that need help. They are asking for those in the community that can afford to, too step up and help meet the goal.
