Paris Man Killed In Vermillion County Crash

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Around 11:20 p.m. Friday night Vermillion County Deputies were called about a vehicle driving south bound in the northbound passing lane on SR 63 near CR 1300 North.

Soon after that officers were called about an accident just north of State Road 32 on State Road 63.

When officers arrived they found a 16-year-old female from Covington, out of her vehicle and being cared for by good samaritans and appeared to be in stable condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was 75 year old Robert Marshall Sr of Paris, IL.

He was trapped in his vehicle.

Inspite of efforts by Deputies, good Samaritans, and other Fire and Rescue first responders Marshall was pronounced dead on the scene.

The juvenile driver was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL and was last listed in stable condition.

Police say that at this time, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
