VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County 911 received reports of a very reckless vehicle traveling northbound SR 63 from the Vigo/Vermillion County Line Thursday (9/19/2919) afternoon.

 

Several reports of this vehicle leaving the roadway or nearly sideswiping other vehicles continued to come in as deputies attempted to intercept. 

 

Police found the vehicle as it was leaving the west side of Blanford.  

 

The driver continued to weave and run off the road. Police eventually stopped the vehicle inside Illinois.  

 

The driver, 33-year-old Samantha Libka of Paris failed field sobriety tests and a portable breath test. 

 

It was also found that Libka had her 8-year-old son in the vehicle with her.  

 

Since the final stop was made in Illinois, Edgar County Deputies were called in.

 

Libka had a blood alcohol level of .18% and was taken to the Edgar County Jail.

Several small full and empty bottles of liquor were located on the floorboard of her vehicle.
