PARKE COUNTY JAIL OFFICER ARRESTED AFTER INTERNAL INVESTIGATION

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – Earlier this month the Parke County Sheriff’s office began an internal investigation into missing items from the commissary.  The investigation revealed that jail officer, 25-year-old Cody Maston of Kingman, had been stealing items from the commissary for personal use and to traffic with inmates.  In the period of a week Maston had taken items valued at over $300.  Wednesday Maston was arrested and charged with Official Misconduct, theft and trafficking with an inmate. He was jailed with bond set at $10,000 10% allowed.
