Pitts Jr. Arrested In Nevada

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police say that a local man wanted on murder charges has been found in Nevada.

Police say that they discovered that Kenneth R. Pitts Jr. was staying at a camp site in Nevada.

Investigators contacted law enforcement in Laughlin, Nevada and just before midnight Friday (5/25/18), members of the Las Vegas Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Pitts Jr.

He is currently being held in the Clark County, Nevada Jail.

Terre Haute Assistant Police Chief Shawn Keen said in a press release that in the coming days, they will be working with the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office to secure his extradition.

Keen said that they are grateful to the media and members of the public for the many leads that were generated as a result of the coverage.  The department is also very appreciative to the members of the Laughlin Nevada and Las Vegas Police Departments for their work in apprehending Pitts Jr.
