PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – Wednesday night around 9:30, Indiana State Police attempted to stop a speeding car on a rural Putnam County road.

The driver refused to stop and led several police officers on a chase over several county roads for about 12 miles and lasting for about 19 minutes before coming to an end in a wooded area.

The occupants then fled on foot.

Police arrested 20-year-old Abigail Acton of Clayton, Ind on charges of resisting arrest and criminal trespass.

Another woman and two men remain at large.

The car was listed as stolen out of Morgan County.

The investigation continues into the identity of the driver and the other two occupants. Anyone with information is urged to contact Indiana State Police.
