Police Arrest Suspect, Search For Another In Oswald Murder

TERRE HAUTE, Ind –  Terre Haute Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of Alice Oswald and they are searching for another suspect.

On Tuesday police arrested 42 year old Teresa M. Pitts on charges of Assisting a Criminal and Obstruction of Justice. She was found in Clay County. Police have also searched her home at 2713 North 12th Street.

Officers are currently searching for 55 year old Kenneth R. Pitts Jr.

When he is found he will face charges of Murder, Burglary, Altering the Scene of Death, Arson, and Obstruction of Justice. He is also wanted for an outstanding probation revocation warrant.

Police say that Pitts Jr. may be attempting to alter his appearance and may be using false identification.  He is described as a white male that is 5’7” tall, 205 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.  He should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone having information about his whereabouts should contact the Terre Haute Police Department at (812) 238-1661.  Anonymous information can also be provided through Crime Stoppers.

Assistant Chief Shawn Keen told reporters at a Wednesday press conference that no further information regarding the investigation and why these two are facing charges will be released until Pitts is in custody.
