Police Arrest Wanted Man Who Allegedly Tried To Kill Step Father

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police have arrested a man for allegedly robbing and trying to kill his former step-father.

40 year old Jon Marshall faces charges of attempted murder, battery resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement, robbery and pointing a firearm.

Police say that the victim told them that on July 8 Thompson and another man entered his home in the 1900 block of Sixth Avenue.

The victim said that the two tied him up with painters tape, demanded money at gun point and threatened to kill him.

He gave them debit cards and PIN numbers along with $200 cash.

The suspects also found $1000 in cash and jewelry in an unlocked safe.

The men also cut the hose to his oxygen tank and took a spare.

The victim eventually freed himself and called police.

Marshall will return to court on Friday.
