Police Say Clinton Woman Ran Light And Crashed Into Ambulance

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Monday night (12/23/19) around  11:00 pm, Vermillion County Deputies were called to a two vehicle accident involving an ambulance at the intersection of St. Rd. 63 and Hazelbluff Rd. in rural Clinton.  When Officers arrived they found a TransCare Ambulance had been struck by another vehicle that ran a stop light.

The ambulance was transporting a patient to Carle Hospital at the time of the crash. The patient and all parties involved did not sustain any injuries from the accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The vehicle which failed to stop at the stop light was driven by 34 year old Stephanie A. Rollins of Clinton. She was arrested at the scene for Driving while Suspended (Prior). She was taken to the Vermillion County jail and was released after posting $7,000.00 bond with 10% allowed.
