VIGO COUNTY, Ind. –  A  Vigo County Judge has recused herself from a lawsuit involving the Vigo County School Corporation.

That lawsuit is against two former school employees and a local businessman over funds stolen through a kickback scheme.

Last week, Vigo County Superior Court Judge Lakshimi “Lucky” Reddy filed a disclosure form stating that she shared a dinner table with a defendant in the case.

Reddy said that even though nothing about the case was discussed she wanted to avoid any public perception of bias.
