Residents Turn Out As Procession Takes Fallen Officer To Funeral Home

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Area residents turned out Saturday afternoon to observe the procession and pay respects to a Terre Haute Police Officer that was killed in the line of duty Friday evening.

The body of officer Rob Pitts was transferred from Terre Haute Regional Hospital to the DeBaun Funeral Home.

The procession went south from the hospital on 7th Street and then West on Springhill to the chapel.

Nearly one hundred police and other emergency vehicles both local and from as far away as Carmel and other locations took part in the procession.

Details of funeral arraignments have not yet been released.
