HENDRICKS, MONTGOMERY AND PUTNAM COUNTIES, Ind. –

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that a bridge replacement project on the U.S. 36 Bridge over Plum Creek will restrict traffic to one 10’ lane, beginning on or after Friday, August 3.

Motorists will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal.  This bridge should be opened to two lanes of travel in late October of this year.

The $2.8 million project also includes bridge replacements on State Road 234 over Lost Creek, just over one mile west of U.S. 231, and over Jones & Armstrong Ditch located 1.25 miles west of U.S. 231.

This project will overlay the deck on the S.R. 75 bridge over CSX Railroad located nearly three miles south of U.S. 36.

The scheduled completion date for these projects is in October of 2019.
