Robber Has Gun But So Does Victim And Thats Bad News For The Criminal

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – An attempted robbery ends with the robber being shot.

It happened Monday morning when a cab driver picked up 17-year-old Daivionne Young near Larry Bird Avenue in the downtown Terre Haute.

According to the Terre Haute Police, a cab driver from First Choice Cab picked up Young and drove him to Greenwood Manor Apartments near 19th Street to drop him off.

That is when Young allegedly pulled a gun on the driver and tried to rob him.

Police say the cab driver pulled out a gun and shot Young.

Terre Haute Police Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson posted on social media that Young will be charged as an adult for armed robbery.

The cab driver was not hurt.
