Salvation Army Program To Teach Kids Life Skills

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A new program from the Salvation Army in Terre Haute aims to help children learn new skills.

It’s called “Take It On Thursdays” is open to all kids in kindergarten through sixth grade and is a life skill and character-building program.

Workshops will teach children skills like taking care of a pet, preparing a snack, using tools, gardening, first aid and more.

The cost is only one dollar per week.

Workshops start on October 3 and run every Thursday through December 5.

You can register at the Salvation office on South 8th Street in Terre Haute.
