Salvation Army Will Likely Fall Short Of Red Kettle Goal

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Salvation Army wrapped up its red kettle campaign on Monday but it’s not clear if they will reach their goal this year.

Christmas Eve marked the last push to get donations for the holiday season and reach a goal of $140,000 but local officials said that it looked like they were going to fall short.

Many factors can affect donations including the local job situation and the fact that more people are shopping online and not walking by the red kettles as much as they used to.

Even though Monday was the last day you’ll see the kettles you can still donate to the kettle campaign through the month of January.
