TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Vigo County Middle School was placed on a lockout Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:00, the Vigo County School Corporation placed Sarah Scott Middle School on a lockout due to police activity in the area.

That lockout was lifted about 10 minutes later.

The Terre Haute Police Department said that they had received reports of gunshots fired into a home in the 2100 block of south 9th Street.

The suspect fled from the area.  Other details have not been released.

No injuries were reported.
