TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Terre Haute Firefighters were called out just before 6 a.m. Saturday morning to a house fire at 708 South 4th Street.

The two-story house  was completely engulfed when crews arrived.

The house was vacant with no utilities contended and squatters were seen coming out of the property.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials say that if you see anyone going into an abandoned home that doesn’t belong there, you should contact police.
