Semi Collieds With INDOT Truck In Vermillion County

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Tuesday morning around 8:30 Indiana State Police and the Vermillion County Deputies were called to a tractor-trailer versus INDOT vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of State Road 63 at the Interstate 74 interchange.

There were no injuries reported.

Police say that the semi driven by 61-year-old Jerry D. Clinton of Gary, IN. was northbound on SR 63 when he came up on the unoccupied INDOT truck with an activated arrow board.

The truck failed to move over and slammed into the back of the highway truck.

The semi was pulling a box trailer loaded with auto parts.

Clinton was cited for failure to yield to a highway maintenance vehicle.

It took about three and half hours for crash cleanup.
