Several Issues For The Terre Haute City Council To Address Tonight

TERRE HAUTE. Ind – The Terre Haute City Council will meet tonight at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

On the agenda will be a revised animal control ordinance and a proposal for two-way traffic on parts of current one-way streets.

Councilman Todd Nation (D-4) has proposed allowing two-way traffic on portions of Eighth and Ninth streets outside the downtown area.

Another proposal would address rules concerning what animals you would be allowed to keep and how you keep them. Specifically, the proposed rules address bees, their hives, and chickens.

The council is also expected to discuss a tax abatement for an affordable housing project at the former YMCA building downtown.
