Shahadey Wants To Keep His Pension

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Even though Frank Shahadey admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from the Vigo County School Corporation he thinks he should still get his pension for being a Deputy Sheriff.

Last year, Shahadey pleaded guilty to taking part in a kickback scheme.

In federal court Wednesday. Shahadey’s lawyer argued his part of the restitution should be lower because others have admitted their part in the kickback scheme.

Mike Pick has already paid restitution to the school corporation and Frank Fennell was ordered to pay restitution in addition to serving two years in federal prison.

The two sides have agreed to try and negotiate an agreement but if they can’t come to terms they will likely have the judge impose a settlement.
