Sneeze Leads To Semi Acciddent

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Just before 11 a.m. Thursday morning Vermillion County Deputies were called to a to a single vehicle semi-truck roll over SR 63 and CR450 South.

Officers say that 39 year old Oscar Balcazar of Hometown, Illinois was north bound when he sneezed and lost control of the truck.

He ran off of the road and the truck rolled over onto the passenger side.

The truck was hauling a 48,000 pound steel coil that came loose and rolled several feet down the shoulder.

Balcazar crawled out of the truck by kicking out the windshield.

He was taken by ambulance to Union Hospital Clinton for non-life threatening injuries.

Indiana State Police inspected the semi and trailer and issued two violations. One for expired trailer plate and one for unsafe lane movement.
