South Student Arrested For Allegedly Making Social Media Threat

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Wednesday (2/20/19) Terre Haute Police made an arrest in connection to social media threats against Terre Haute South Vigo High School.

The 15-year-old Terre Haute South Vigo student faces preliminary charges of Intimidation and Possession of Marijuana and is currently being held in the Vigo County Juvenile Center.

Police say that their officers were assisted by staff from the Vigo County School Corporation throughout the investigation.

Last week a social media threat was posted threatening a mass shooing at the school.

Police say that they were able to trace the post through an IP address to a home in Terre Haute.

When officers went to the house they found three adults and three juveniles.

All electronic equipment was confiscated and examined by police.
