Student Arrested After Airsoft Gun Found At Vigo County Middle School

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An Airsoft gun was found in a student’s locker at a Terre Haute middle school.

Tursday morning, Woodrow Wilson Middle School was placed on lock-down while school officials and law enforcement investigated the report of a gun.

After 25 minutes the lock-down was lifted.

The Airsoft gun was unloaded, however, Vigo County School Corporation Director of Communications Bill Riley said Airsoft guns aren’t allowed in schools.

Riley said parents and guardians were sent a message about the incident on the School Messenger text app.

The school returned to its normal schedule shortly after the incident.

The student was arrested and will face a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct.
