Sullivan County Humane Society Over Crowded After Rescue

SULLIVAN, Ind. – A local animal shelter is over crowded after being called on to help nearly two dozen animals all at once.

The Sullivan Animal Shelter spent most of their day Tuesday cleaning and treating 27 animals. It took six people four hours to clear all the animals from a home and surrounding area in Paxton.

Two animals were found dead.

The shelter is now over capacity and cannot take anymore strays.

The Parke-Vermillion shelter nad Canine Rescue Care Incorporated out of Jasonville have stepped up but there is still need for those who would like to adopt and give a forever home to these animals and there is a need for donations.
