Sullivan Restaurant Destroyed By Overnight Fire

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – The Kat-A-Corner Diner on the south side of Sullivan at SR 54 and Section Street went up in flames overnight.

Fire crews were called out just after midnight and found heavy smoke and flames when they arrived.

Early indications are the fire started in the kitchen area.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal has been called to help determine the cause of the blaze.

There are no early signs of foul play, and no injuries were reported.

Officials say that a metal roof made fighting the fire difficult.
