‪ TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A motion was filed late Thursday by former Vigo County Schools Superintendent Danny Tanoos’ attorneys appealing a decision to not dismiss the bribery charges against him.

His attorneys, James Voyles and Jennifer Lukemeyer maintain that the felony charges do not support the bribery allegations.

The charges filed in September 2018 allege Tanoos asked for and accepted items including concert tickets, dinners and other items from Energy Systems Group, in exchange for recommendations that the company be awarded millions of dollars in contracts to perform work for the school corporation.

The matter is next set for a 9 a.m., April 24 status conference.
