TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Last week the Vigo County 911 Director, Rob McMullen was terminated from his position.

County Commissioner President Brad Anderson said that Vigo County Deputy Steve Meng has been appointed as interim director.

He will be assisted by retired deputy Jeff Fox who will focus more on managing the technical side of 9-1-1 dispatch.

The search for a full-time replacement for the position is underway but will likely take some time.

So far, the reason behind McMullen’s dismissal is unknown.
