Terre Haute Man Charged With Kidnapping

TERRE HAUTE, Ind –  A Terre Haute man has been arrested on charges of Kidnapping, Domestic Battery (in the presence of a child under the age of 16), and Possession of Marijuana.

Officers were called Wednesday about the disappearance of four-year-old Brailyn Hancock from the front yard of her residence at 2144 5th Avenue.

Police say that she was allegedly taken from the front yard of her home just before 9 p.m.

Around 11 p.m. police had found the girl and arrested 24-year-old Kyle Shultz.

Shultz appeared in Vigo County Court Thursday afternoon.

Bond was set at $20,000 with no 10% allowed.

He will be back in court next Wednesday (5/30/18) where a trial date will likely be set.
