Terre Haute Man Faces 16 Charges After Leading Police On Chase

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A Terre Haute man has been arrested after leading police on a chase.

Police say that they tried to stop 23-year-old James Mahurin but he refused to stop and led police on a chase running several stop signs and then crashing into another vehicle near 21st and Ohio.

After the crash officers say that Mahurin bailed out of his car and ran but gave up after a short distance.

This could have led to a suspension of his license, but police say that he never had one.

Mahurin is facing sixteen drug and driving charges.

He will make a court appearance on Monday (3/19/18).
