Terre Haute Man Facing Burglary Charges In Parke County

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Terre Haute man was arrested in Parke County for allegedly stealing several guns.

Deputies say that they received several reports of burglaries near Mansfield.

Officers say that 29 year old Kurtis Wilson told a homeowner that he was undercover police officer when he was caught in an outbuilding.

He then allegedly pointed a gun at the resident and then fled in a vehicle with a woman

Officers say that several guns were stolen in another burglary in the Mansfield area a short time later.

Terre Haute Police arrested Wilson at a Terre Haute motel on Thursday.

A stolen gun was found in the motel room while several other guns were found in his vehicle.

He is also wanted on several outstanding warrants in Vigo County for check fraud, in Clark, Illinois for burglary and was listed as armed and dangerous. Wilson is also wanted in Edgar County, Illinois for failure to appear on drug charges.

Charges against the unnamed female are pending.
