Terre Haute Man Found Guilty Of Several Charges

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A Terre Haute man accused of raping a woman has been found guilty.

The jury came to a decision late Thursday afternoon.

Harry Custer was found guilty of seven of the nine charges against him including rape, criminal confinement, battery, and strangulation.

The victim said Custer grabbed her from behind as she was looking for her dog and then forced her into a secluded area at knife point.

The defense sad the prosecution could not prove its case without having any DNA evidence.

Custer was also found guilty of being a habitual offender.

He will be sentenced on April 23rd.
