VIGO COUNTY, Ind – In Vigo County Court Thursday a Terre Haute man was convicted on charges of aggravated battery, carrying a gun without a permit, criminal recklessness and being a habitual traffic offender.
39-year-old Jesse Smith was arrested by Terre Haute Police around 4 a.m. on March 17 after a dispute between two groups of people resulted in gun fire at McDonald’s on North Lafayette Avenue.
Police say that Smith fired the shots, but no one was hit.
Smith will be sentenced October 1st.
Roxanna Smith was a passenger in the truck with Jesse Smith.
She pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal and was sentenced to one year of home detention earlier this month.
