VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A Terre Haute man will be sentenced later this month after pleading guilty to aggravated battery in connection to a drive by shooting that happened in August 2018.

Police say that 21-year-old Davonte Brown shot a 17-year-old girl in the 1900 block of North Sixth Street just after midnight on August 10, 2018.

Officers say that Brown and the victim’s younger brother had a long-standing feud.

The plea agreement for Brown calls for a recommended 16-year sentence in prison with eight of those years behind bars and the other eight suspended to formal probation.

Brown will be sentenced February 27th.
