Terre Haute Teen Sentenced For Mini Mart Robbery

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A Terre Haute teen has been sentenced for shooting a convenience store manager in June 2017 when he robbed the Jiffy Mini Mart at 25th Street and 8th Avenue.

18 year old Dilon Blaine was 17 at the time of the crime.

During the robbery he fired a shot through an office door striking a female employee.

As part of the plea deal Blaine pleaded guilty to robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and a misdemeanor handgun charge.

He was sentenced to serve 15 years total.

Five years will be spent in prison, five years on work release and the remaining five years of formal probation was suspended.
