TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Tuesday evening around 11:20 p.m. Terre Haute Police were called to the Travel Lodge at 530 South 3rd Street on the report of a robbery.
Police say that the female victim told them that she had met the suspect earlier in the evening at a local bar. The victim explained that she later had invited him to her room where he pushed her down, grabbed her purse, and fled the room on foot.
The victim was not injured, and the suspect had fled prior to officers’ arrival.
The suspect is described as an African-American male, approximately mid-20s, and with a short Afro haircut.
