VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Three Vigo County juveniles were arrested after an early morning chase that ended in Vermillion County.

Around 3:30 AM Monday morning Vermillion County Deputies were notified of a high speed pursuit leaving Terre Haute. Police say that a Black Pontiac G6 was traveling northbound on St. Rd. 63 in the southbound lanes at speeds between 80-110 MPH.

Officers deployed stop sticks which did flatten the tires but the vehicle continued Northbound in the southbound lanes at approximately 70 MPH.

As the car entered into the Construction zone at St. Rd 63 where the lane changes to one lane only, at the Dry Branch Bridge, the vehicle was faced head on with an oncoming Semi.

The driver swerved, narrowly missing the Semi.

Police then positioned a patrol vehicle in front of the speeding car which attempted to turn onto St. Rd 71 but slid and ran off the roadway.

There were no injuries.

Three 16 year old juveniles who were all from Terre Haute were arrested and taken to the Vigo County Jail.

A search of the vehicle uncovered Paraphernalia, small traces of Marijuana, Scales, and Alcohol.
