Throwing Lit Cigarette Our Of Window Leads To Drug Arrests

ELLETTSVILLE, Ind – Throwing a lit cigarette out the window of a vehicle leads to the arrest of two people.

An off-duty Indiana State Police Trooper an occupant of a car throw a cigarette out the window while traveling on SR46 near Red Hill.

After stopping the car and identifying the occupants, it was discovered the driver had a suspended driver’s license and both passengers were wanted on warrants through Monroe County.

Police also found 22 syringes inside the vehicle and later at the jail it was discovered that both passengers, 26-year-old Keith Leighton and 29-year-old Christina Hale who are both from Bloomington, were in possession of meth.  Both are facing multiple charges.
