VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind  – Friday night around 8 p.m. a Vermillion County Deputy attempted to stop a car in Cayuga but the driver accelerated and tried to flee through a residential area.

After a short pursuit, police arrested 28 year old Joshua L. Fitzwater of Cayuga for Driving while suspended prior, Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle, Possession of marijuana, Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.

He was also cited for false license plates.
