Trail Date Set For Terre Haute Man Charged With Murder

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  –  A Terre Haute man charged with murder appeared in court to have a trial date set Friday.

Durend Randall is accused of fatally shooting Evan Pershing in a home on Heritage Drive last week.

Police investigators believe that Durend Randall got into a struggle with Antwane Randall and a gun went off injuring Antwane.

At the scene police found Pershing dead on the floor in another room of the home suffering from several gun shot injuries.

Durend Randall has been convicted of other crimes including domestic battery in 2013 and robbery in 2016.

A jury trial is set for May of next year.
