TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A trial date was set Wednesday for a Terre Haute man charged with murder.
32 year old Justin Charles Gasaway, appeared Wednesday in Vigo Superior Court.
Gasaway will stand trial April 14th for the January 1st death of 61-year-old Bryan J. Owen who was found was found on the porch of Gasaway’s home on South 9th Street.
Owens was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Doctors found a stab wound in Owen’s back.
Gasaway faces up to 85 years in prison if convicted.
Owens was homeless and had apparently been found sleeping on the porch of the home on multiple occasions.
Witnesses told police Gasaway battered Owen before police were called to the scene.
