CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind – Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m. an Indiana State Police Trooper was patrolling Water Street in Crawfordsville when he witnessed a traffic violation and stopped the vehicle driven by 38-year-old Curtis Olinger.

The officer says that the Crawfordsville man said that his license was suspended and never attempted to retrieve his registration.

The officer asked Olinger to get out of the vehicle and when he did, he took off running.

The Trooper caught Olinger after a short foot pursuit.

After a brief tussle, Olinger was arrested and was found with a glass smoking pipe that allegedly contained burnt residue of methamphetamine in his coat pocket.

Olinger is facing multiple drug charges.
