ILLINOIS – Recreational marijuana has been legal in the state of Illinois since the first of the year.

It’s been up to municipalities if they would allow it to be sold within their borders.

In Tuesday’s primary, residents of Marshall, voted down the idea 498 no votes to 487 yes votes.  That’s just an 11-vote spread.

In Paris, residents were asked if they supported a tax levy to pay for ambulance service. 76% of voters said yes. The vote was 474 yes to 151 no.

60% of Oblong residents said no to selling cannibals in the city limits.

Across the state, Illinois Democratic voters selected Joe Biden as the candidate for president with nearly 60% of the vote.
