Turkey Run State Park Makes National Register Of Historic Places

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. — An Indiana State Park is now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Turkey Run State Park in Marshall is being recognized for its “unique cultural value to Indiana, as well as its natural history,” says the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

The Lusk Home at Turkey Run was already on the register, but the new listing creates a much larger “historic district” within the park.

Other Indiana state parks on the National Register include Pokagon, Mounds, and Fort Harrison.
