Two Arrested For Allegedly Making Threats Against DCS Employees

CLAY COUNTY, IndIndiana State Police report that they began a criminal investigation last week (9/5/19) after receiving information that multiple employees of the Clay County Department of Child Services had received threats of bodily injury.     

The investigation shows that 32 year old Jacinda A. Batchelor, and 25 year old John D. Pastrick, who are both from Brazil, allegedly threatened multiple employees of the Clay County Department of Child Services.  Batchelor and Pastrick were at the Clay County Department of Child Services for a scheduled appointment in order to submit to a certified chemical test.   During the test, both individuals became argumentative and confrontational with staff members, making verbal threats to harm the staff and intimidating them with violent gestures.

The Clay County Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants Tuesday for both Batchelor and Pastrick. 

They are each being held in the Clay County Jail, on $7,000.00 bond.
