Two Arrested On Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop

VIGO COUNTY, Ind Tuesday evening (Aug 28, 2018) just before 11 p.m. Indiana State Police stopped a car for a license plate issue in the area of westbound 7th Avenue near 13th Street. 

The driver, 39-year-old Lewis R. Ross of Terre Haute appeared under the influence of drugs and a blood test at Terre Haute Regional Hospital showed that he tested positive for amphetamines and opiates. Police found syringes in the trunk of his car. Ross was arrested on multiple charges.

Police say that 31 year old Gary Mankin who is also from Terre Haute, was in possession of methamphetamine, scales, .25 caliber ammunition and gun, paraphernalia.

The gun was listed as stolen form Macomb, Illinois in October of 2001. Mankin was arrested on numerous charges.
