TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Vectren has started replacing gas mains and service lines in Terre Haute.

This year, the company will upgrade five miles of gas main and 600 service lines in Terre Haute.

It’s all part of a multi-year program to replace a total of nearly 80 miles of pipe in the city.

Streets affected during the first phase of projects include: Seabury Avenue, 20th Street, 22nd Street, 25th Street, Cruft Street, College Avenue and Hampton Avenue.

A Vectren representative will give customers an overview of the required work. Crews will fix affected yards, sidewalks and streets at the end of the project.
