Vermillion County Authorities Perform Water Rescue Sunday Morning

VERMLLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County authorities were called to perform a water rescue early Sunday morning.

Vermillion County Deputy’s arrived on scene around 3:30 a.m. and located the vessel about 3/4 of a mile away from the boat ramp.

The individuals had been camping on a sandbar but were too sick to get on the river.

Clinton City Fire Department’s swift water rescue team responded to the scene and were able to get to the trapped individuals.

Illiana EMS transported one female who was having seizures, to the hospital.

The other individuals declined treatment at the scene.

Names and the current condition of the individual that was taken to the hospital have not been released.
