VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon (8/4/18) Vermillion County Deputies were called to a residence in Centenary regarding a suicidal man.

While on the way the Deputies were notified that the person who called had also been hit by that man and it was believed that he was armed with a knife.

When officers arrived, 46-year-old Shawn R. Alger reportedly got on his knees and placed his hands behind his head.

While being arrested officers say that Alger admitted to domestic battery and threatening that person a knife and he was arrested and taken to the Vermillion County Jail.
