Vermillion County Traffic Stop Leads To Two Arrests

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Friday night (12/28/18) officers working Operation Pull Over noticed a vehicle driving northbound on State Road 63 driving slowly and crossing multiple lanes of traffic.

Police stopped the vehicle at SR 63 and I-74.

Three people in the vehicle were identified as, 29-year-old Justine Johnston of Terre Haute, 29-year-old Justin Yatsko of Terre Haute, and 31-year-old Zachary Krise of West Terre Haute.

Johnston was wanted in Vigo County for Larceny/Conversion, Krise was also wanted in Vigo County for Felony Burglary, and Yatsko was listed as a missing person.

Krise tied to flee on foot.

He was apprehended later with help of a Fountain County Deputy and K-9.

He was found hiding in a thick area of brush.

Johnston was taken to the Vigo County Jail.

Yatsko was released.

Krise was booked in to the Vermillion County Jail on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor), Identity Deception (Level 6 Felony), and will be held for the Vigo County warrant after answering for local charges. Krise is being held without bond at this time.
