VIGO COUNTY, Ind.- Vigo County Commissioners are asking the Vigo County Council to approve a plan to add new positions to the highway department.

Commissioner Brendan Kearns says those positions will help bring things up to date and create a more efficient operation.

Commissioners did not reappoint current highway superintendent, Dan Bennett.

Assistant superintendent Bobby James will take over the position.
